French Horn

French Horn

A Horn player is fishing. Suddenly he catches a Fish! But the fish says to the horn player, "If you let me go, I will tell you two important things about your future. I have good news, and I have bad news for you."

"That's a deal," the horn-player says.

"Well, the good news is, when you are going to die, you will play 2nd horn in heaven, next to Buyanovski!"

"Woooooow!" the horn player screams. "That's great!"

"Yeah," the fish says, "but the bad news is that you will have to start tomorrow!"

The Clarinet

The Clarinet

My brother James played Clarinet in high school .... so for his recent birthday, I thought I would surprise him with this beautiful clarinet. Apparently, there was more joy on my side because I don't believe that he played it more than five times.

However, he was kind enough to loan it to me to create this Clarinet painting.

The Clarinet
oil on stretched canvas
40" x 32"

Trumpet

Trumpet

The fourth in the Music series. Quite possibly my personal favorite -- but then again, each one has its special meaning to me. I'm just attracted to the blues and streaks of orange in this one ... also the cloud. The oil on stretched canvas painting measures 40" x 32" -- plus 3" for the frame. Perfect for over the mantel in your music room !

Trombone

Trombone

This painting could be one of the 'favorites' of the Music collection. Most persons that enter my studio claim the 'Trombone' as their favorite. I believe because of the use of turquoise and rich red. The Trombone itself was on loan from the Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA.

This painting is one of a collection that will be featured in Antibes Juan-les-Pins during Jazz a Juan - the largest and oldest Jazz festival in Europe.

Saxophone

Saxophone

This painting is one in a series in the 'Music' series. The series is scheduled to arrive in Antibes Juan-les-Pins in June for a July solo exhibition.

I went to see and hear President Clinton speak the other day at Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA. He is an incredible orator. And he plays the Saxophone !! Was hoping that he would stop by my studio so I could present him with this painting ... but right now he's busy on the campaign trail ...

These paintings were appraised at $9000.00 each via an independent art appraisal firm. If you are interested in any of the Music series paintings or any paintings found on my website or in my Banana Factory studio, please feel free to contact me.

Piano

Piano • this painting is sold

I have been keeping a blogging website promoting my 6" x 6" Painting Each Day paintings .... and today it dawned on me that I should show my larger paintings on yet another blogging website that is linked to my comprehensive website.

I selected the 'Piano' piece because out of the music series, it speaks to me the most. I have a 1934 Brambach baby grand in my home and devoted many years to playing it. Not that I play especially well, but I love to all the same.

This original oil painting on custom wood stretchers measures 1 meter by 80 centimenters ... approximately 40" x 32".

There are eleven paintings in the series and I will be happy to present them to you painting by painting. These paintings were independently appraised at $9,000. each.

If you would like to purchase a larger works painting on stretched canvas that you see on this site, or commission a painting that is special to you, please email me.
